Biden Sends IRS To Home Of GOP Witness DURING Testimony

The recent news that IRS agents made an unexpected visit to the home of journalist Matt Taibbi is concerning and warrants serious concern.

For the naysayers, Joe Biden is the President of the United States and the IRS works for him so his is accountable for whatever one of his agencies does.

Taibbi had recently testified before the newly Republican-created Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government about his involvement with the “Twitter Files”, or documents new Twitter CEO Elon Musk provided to show how the social media platform previously censored content and users.

The same day, an IRS agent showed up unannounced at Taibbi’s home in New Jersey. Taibbi was told that both his 2018 and 2021 tax returns had been rejected, but there was no explanation as to why an in-person visit was necessary.

The House Judiciary Chairman, Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, sent letters to IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to inquire about the visit, and other members of Congress have expressed their concern. Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, tweeted that “The IRS should NEVER be in the business of harassing the American people.”

The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board noted that it is unusual for the IRS to make house calls, as they typically send dunning letters or seek more information from the taxpayer or tax preparer. If the IRS wants to audit a return, it typically schedules a meeting at the agent’s office.

The news of the IRS visit to Taibbi’s home raises questions about the potential weaponization of the IRS and whether it was intentional or a coincidence that the visit was made on the same day as Taibbi’s congressional testimony.

Not only is Joe Biden building back worse, but he’s also making McCarthyism great again.Biden Sends IRS To Home Of GOP Witness DURING Testimony
