The recent hack into U.S. government email accounts is yet another reminder of how incompetent the Biden administration is. In a report confirmed by multiple news outlets, not only has China hacked the highest levels of the US government, they got critical information.
The attack came to light in mid-June after Microsoft reported that hackers managed to compromise organizations belonging to at least 25 entities, two of which were major U.S. government agencies. While the victims of the attack have not been officially identified, the impact of the attack left many wondering how and why it was allowed to happen in the first place.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the attack coincided with talks between Chinese and U.S. officials. The hack took place not long before a CCP spy balloon went across the United States.
The hack took place shortly before China’s commerce minister met with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and trade representative Katherine Tai.
From NBC News:
China’s commerce minister, Wang Wentao, met in the U.S. with Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and trade representative Katherine Tai on May 25. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Chinese president Xi Jinping in Bejing on June 19.
The Washington Post and the New York Times reported that Raimondo’s email was compromised as part of the breach.
But the hack appears to be worst than that.

However, National security adviser Jake Sullivan countered the CNN report and others.
“The intrusion here was actually into Microsoft’s cloud system. And they got into that system and then through that, into the unclassified email accounts of U.S. government officials. And I stress these were unclassified e-mail accounts, so they did not get any classified information,” Sullivan told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.”
“It was actually the U.S. government that discovered the hack, and we did because we have increased our cyber defenses over the course of the past couple of years,” Sullivan said. “We discovered it, we quickly shut it down and now we have taken the steps to make sure this is not an ongoing vulnerability.”
Sure Jake and the CCP spy balloon didn’t collect any intelligence either (sarcasm).
