Nobody saw this one coming.
With Democrats winning the Georgia runoff, it pretty much sealed the deal for Biden to appointments through without any resistance from the Republican party.
Arizona Senator Krysten Sinema has officially left the Democratic Party and is a registered independent.
It’s been no secret that Sinema has had disagreements with the DNC, and they even sent people to follow her into the bathroom.

“In a natural extension of my service since I was first elected to Congress, I have joined the growing numbers of Arizonans who reject party politics by declaring my independence from the broken partisan system in Washington and formally registering as an Arizona Independent,” the former Democratic Senator wrote.
“Over the past four years, I’ve worked proudly with other Senators in both parties and forged consensus on successful laws helping everyday Arizonans build better lives for themselves and their families. Becoming an Independent won’t change my work in the Senate; my service to Arizona remains the same,” she added.

Since Biden took office, Sinema, with Senator Joe Manchin, has blocked some really destructive proposals from the Biden administration. Yes, the Arizona Senator is a liberal but she’s held off gun control, Build, Back, Better, and stopped Dems from eliminating the filibuster.
If anything, Sinema’s move shows how much of a coward Joe Manchin is.
The move sent the left off a cliff because they know what it means. According to the left the Senator who was once hailed for being one of the first LGBTQ members of the Senate is not an evil big corporatist.
Remember the old Rush Limbaugh principle for the naysayers who think this doesn’t matter. The left wouldn’t be freaking out if it didn’t matter.
Don’t overthink Sen. Kyrsten Sinema switching from Democrat to Independent.
She’s not driven by ideology.
She’s driven by which corporations and lobbyists are giving her the most money — which makes her an elected mercenary, not an elected representative of the people.

Kyrsten Sinema switched to being an independent because she was never really a Dem and couldn’t survive an Arizona Primary. She also waited until after the GA runoffs so the Dems can’t celebrate 51 anymore. None of this is surprising but it is confirmation that she is the worst.

Dems win a clear majority in the Senate and Sinema’s reaction is to leaves the party to continue taking hostages for big pharma. Sinema isn’t just a fraud, she’s what stupid people think an “independent looks like.”
