Karma! Joy Behar Forced To Eat Crow, Must Apologize To Conservative On The Air

Joy Behar, the angry liberal host of the ABC show “The View” misspoke for the thousandth time on Monday and was forced to make an apology. During the show, Behar accused People of Praise, a Christian group that Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barret belongs to, of being a “hate group.”

“Now, here’s my question. She is, you know, a religious person. She belongs to the People of Praise group, which the Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled a hate group, and their founder has questioned the so-called separation of church and state,” she said.

“They believe that sex should occur only within marriage and, of course, between a man and a woman. They’ve got very specific things that they believe,” she said.

The problem is, the Southern Poverty Law Center does not have it on its list of hate groups.

On Tuesday’s show, Whoopi Goldberg began the show by saying: “Welcome to The View. Before we get to Hot Topics, Joy, you want to clarify something?”

“I have to clarify something I said yesterday, I want to correct something I said on-air when I stated that People of Praise had been deemed a hate group,” she said. “I just got them mixed up with another group, it was inaccurate. So I don’t think that’s right, I have to say, you know, sorry about that. Anyway, I conflated them.”

“It’s easy to do. You know, sometimes I call Joy, Sara [Haines],” Goldberg quipped.

“Because we look so much alike,” Haines quipped.

“Because you look identical to each other,” Goldberg said.

Behar was also called out for her anti-Catholic sentiment expressed during the previous day’s discussion.

In October Behar snapped at her producer Brian Teta as he attempted to cut her off and head to a commercial.

During a discussion about the Pennsylvania Senate campaign between Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz and Democrat John Fetterman Joy shot off a partisan attack, “the Democrats need to get behind John Fetterman because he’s qualified, and Mehmet Oz is a loser.”

“Let’s just talk —” she said before pausing.

“Brian doesn’t like that I called him a loser,” she said.

“No, I don’t like that we’re out of time,” the producer said. “We’ve gotta go to break … we can come back.”

“Alright,” she said as her co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, “Would you like to come back and say what you wanted to say?” to which the cohost, who was annoyed, said “Sure.”

“I mean, you should actually be sitting up here today!” Goldberg quipped to Teta, who shook his head to say “no.”
