Lefty Judge Rigs Case In Trump Sex Assault Suit

Hey everyone, there’s been a big development in another case surrounding former President Donald Trump. I’m sure you’ve heard by now that Trump’s request for a delay in his assault and defamation trial has been denied for the second time by a federal judge in New York. This trial has been the center of media attention as Trump faces charges for falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment made to silence a past affair.

Trump’s attorneys had requested a “cooling off” period to obtain a fair and impartial jury due to the media attention surrounding the indictment. However, Judge Lewis Kaplan rejected the request, stating that it was “pure speculation” to suggest that the attention around the indictment would affect the ability to select a jury. The judge also noted that this was another delay tactic by Trump’s legal team, who had previously promoted pretrial publicity and then claimed that the coverage was prejudicial to him.

In the lawsuit, E. Jean Carroll alleges that Trump raped her in a New York dressing room in the mid-1990s and then defamed her years later when he denied it took place. She first reported her allegations in 2019.

According to Judge Kaplan, the heart of the litigation is not the same in the indictment and the trial allegations of sexual misconduct. He added that any potential bias among the jurors would be rooted out during jury selection (oh really?). The judge had previously ruled that the jury would be anonymous in this case, citing potential security risks stemming from Trump’s own rhetoric, and has denied requests to make their identities known to either Carroll or Trump’s legal team.

“I’ll say it with great respect: Number one, she’s not my type. Number two, it never happened. It never happened, OK?” then-President Trump said during an interview with The Hill.

“Totally lying. I don’t know anything about her,” he added. “I know nothing about this woman. I know nothing about her. She is — it’s just a terrible thing that people can make statements like that.”

Does anybody else find it a coincidence that this is all happening in New York?

Sure seems like the fix is in.
