One Paper Turns Trump Case Upside Down

It’s amazing what a little piece of paper can do especially after Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg decided to indict former President Trump.

On March 21, 2023, Michael Cohen’s legal advisor testified before the New York City grand jury at the defense’s request. Whatever happened after that turned everything upside down, along with a letter that was released by former President Trump.

Reports have stated that the grand jury was looking into former President Trump’s involvement in a $130,000 payment to silence Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election.

There were strong rumors that Trump was going to be indicted in March 2023 until Business Insider reported that the process had been delayed at least a week.

Shortly after the pause, Trump posted a letter on social media.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, his social media site, “Wow, look what was just found—A Letter from Cohen’s Lawyer to the Federal Election Commission. This is totally exculpatory, and must end the Manhattan District Attorney’s Witch Hunt, immediately. Cohen admits that he did it himself. The D.A. should get on with prosecuting violent criminals, so people can walk down the sidewalks of New York without being murdered!”

From Post Millenial:

Costello, who previously served as Cohen’s legal advisor, said he attacked his former client’s credibility during his testimony. It is not known why Alvin Bragg, the District Attorney, temporarily halted the grand jury’s proceedings.

Trump commented on the grand jury’s proceedings on Truth Social, claiming that Bragg is having a hard time with the grand jury. Prosecutors are prohibited from disclosing grand jury details.

Additionally, there’s another piece of paper that is going to throw Bragg’s case into the wind.
