Veteran Hollywood journalist A.J. Benza has sensationally claimed that hit movie star Jamie Foxx suffered a blood clot in his brain, leaving him partially paralyzed and blind after pressure reportedly ensued to get a COVID vaccine.
Foxx, 55, was rushed to a hospital in Atlanta on April 11 after a mysterious medical incident occurred while he was on the set of a new film. His condition, however, has not been disclosed by his official representatives.
“Jamie had a blood clot in his brain after he got the shot. He did not want the shot, but the movie he was on, he was pressured to get it,” Benza said in a recent interview on the Ask Dr. Drew podcast. “The blood clot in the brain caused him at that point to be partially paralyzed and blind.”
Benza claimed the source of this information was “someone in the room” connected to Foxx’s care. However, RadarOnline.com has not been able to independently verify this. A rep for Foxx has yet to make a comment.
At the time of the incident, Foxx‘s closes friend, Charles E. Alston, known as Charlie Mack, asked for prayers, and his family insisted the star was “already on his way to recovery” due to “quick action and great care.”
“Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!” Foxx’s daughter Corinne declared on social media. “Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”
Benza, however, was keen to refute Corinne’s statement, labeling it “all lies” and “baloney.”
Dr. Drew Pinsky, who hosts the Ask Dr. Drew podcast, explained that a blood clot in the brain is a cerebral bleed and not a stroke. “A stroke is a blood clot in an artery to the brain that cuts off the blood supply to the brain and the brain dies,” he said.
It comes as filming of the new movie that Foxx had been working on prior to his medical emergency continues with a body double standing in for him.
At this stage, it is unclear whether Foxx will make a full recovery or whether he will suffer permanent damage from his ordeal. Reports of pressure to get a COVID vaccine and the related consequences is certain to be an area of discussion in the debate surrounding the virus.
