What The Heck Is Going On At ABC News! Anchor Dead, Wife Arrested

The culture at ABC News is in shambles.

Recently ABC has dealt with the GMA sex scandal, then fired a GMA producer because she was spying on politicians for those looking for dirt on them and now this.

ABC News anchor Dax Tejera, 37, died suddenly after suffering a heart attack in New York City. Tejera and his wife Veronica had left their two young daughters, aged five months and two years old, alone at the Yale Club while they went out for the evening.

While they were out, Tejera collapsed in the street and was rushed to the hospital. Veronica was later arrested by the NYPD and charged with two counts of “acting in a manner injurious to a child” for leaving their children alone for an extended period of time.

Veronica has insisted the couple “had two cameras trained” on the children as they slept but admitted it was a “poor decision” to leave them alone. It remains unknown why the children were left alone and for exactly how long.

You can’t tell for a second that these two didn’t have enough money for a nanny.

Tejera worked with George Stephanopoulos and Martha Raddatz, and had recently traveled to London to contribute to the network’s coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. He was described as an “incredibly talented journalist and a wonderful friend and colleague” by ABC News President Kim Godwin.

The Tejeras had been visiting New York for the holidays and were planning to visit friends and go to Rockefeller.

Veronica was mourning with her late husband’s family on Monday night, and the NYPD received a 911 call at 11 pm about “unattended children” at the Yale Club hotel. Police discovered two children sleeping alone in a hotel room, matching the ages of the Tejeras’ daughters.

Their father had passed away, and she left them in the hospital.

Seriously, what the heck is going on at ABC News?
