In just a short time since the alarming attack on the GOP nominee and former President, Donald Trump, we have already seen a hailstorm of inflated predictions and speculations. What’s truly disconcerting is the haste with which conventional news outlets are aligning this act of leftist violence with their existing narratives.
Amazingly, some news agencies are criticizing Trump for not publicizing his medical records from his hospital stay, whether on social media or through any other channels. Bear in mind that they want to dig into Trump’s medical records. At the same time, they’ve ignored Biden’s issues.
As this drama unfolds, we’re seeing a worrying increase in journalists who, despite years of warnings about spreading misinformation, are hinting that the assassination attempt on Trump’s life may be a conspiracy or is being over-dramatized by his campaign.
MSNBC’s Joy Reid just said Trump surviving an assassination attempt is viewed "as a sign of strength,” and she thinks Joe Biden recovering from COVID should be seen the same way.

Specifically, some journalists are promoting the theory that Trump was not actually hit by a shooter’s bullet but was injured by shattered glass from the teleprompters. But isn’t that still an attempt on his life? Even if he wasn’t directly struck by a bullet, he was hit by glass from the teleprompter shattered by that bullet.
What is more disturbing is the ease with which this conspiracy theory is being spread without actual journalism. If such a theory is even worth considering, shouldn’t we at least explore it as a possibility before voicing it openly?
Following this comes the demand for more details about Trump’s hospital visit, as if it holds some mysterious revelations. Some news outlets are stoking the fires of overthinking among internet users.
To clarify, Trump’s injury was not life-threatening. His upper ear was perforated by the bullet, as clearly seen in the photographs from that day. It’s a largely superficial wound with minimal long-term health implications. Yet, some media outlets are twisting this supposed silence on medical details into a murky narrative.
In contrast, the actual sitting president, Joe Biden, has been a constant subject of physical and mental speculation, but the media has shown little curiosity about his medical records.
So now the Associated Press is trying to get their hands on Trump’s records.
