Vice President Kamala Harris recently revealed that she experienced bouts of insomnia after President Joe Biden announced his endorsement of her as his successor in the 2024 election. During an interview with former NBA stars Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on their podcast “All The Smoke,” Harris shared that the pressure and pace of events left her sleep-deprived, particularly the morning she selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
In a candid conversation, Harris admitted that the stress of the campaign and Biden’s decision not to run had set off a whirlwind of emotions and sleepless nights. “From the time that the president called me and told me he wasn’t running, I mean, it’s just like everything was in speedy, speedy motion, and I was not sleeping so well,” Harris confessed. The vice president described waking up early on the day she made the “gut” decision to pick Walz, after only getting a few hours of rest. She turned to cooking as a way to cope with the anxiety, explaining, “I just got up… went out and got a pork roast and started marinating it.”
Her spontaneous early morning cooking session was a means to calm her mind before the monumental decision. “Everybody’s asleep, I just got up and started cooking,” she added with a chuckle.
It sure sounds like she’s claiming that a bout of stress and insomnia prompted her snap decision to pick Walz over Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.
That decision has already started to plauge her as people call her runningmate, Tim Walz, Governor of Minnesota a muppet.

During a segment on CNN Scott Jennings called Walz a “buffoon.”

There’s been tons of speculation about Kamala picking Walz over Shapiro. She had a choice, Walz a far left radical or Shapiro, the guy who literally mimics Obama.
