Trump Takes Aim at Federal DEI Programs
In a move that’s sure to ruffle some feathers in the liberal nest, the Trump administration is taking a wrecking ball to the federal government’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) apparatus. It’s about time someone had the guts to tackle this wasteful and divisive ideology head-on. The Office of Personnel Management has issued a directive that’s music to the ears of anyone who’s sick and tired of seeing our tax dollars funneled into programs that do nothing but sow division and resentment.
This isn’t just a gentle nudge or a polite suggestion. The memo, dated January 24, gives agency heads a clear marching order: terminate DEI, DEIA, and ‘environmental justice’ positions within 60 days. It’s a swift and decisive action that shows the administration means business when it comes to draining the swamp of these ideological parasites.
The Trump administration has officially mandated the dismantlement of federal diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, requiring employees in these roles to be placed on paid leave and any materials promoting DEI to be removed from government agencies.

Cutting the Fat: DEI Staff Face the Axe
Federal agencies are being instructed to issue reduction-in-force (RIF) notices to DEI employees, laying out the details of their termination and any severance rights. It’s a tough pill to swallow for the DEI crowd, but let’s face it – these positions were nothing more than taxpayer-funded activism masquerading as government work. The directive accelerates previous efforts to dismantle these initiatives, including the cancellation of DEI training and contracts.
“In accordance with that order, each agency, department, or commission head shall take action to terminate, to the maximum extent allowed by law, all DEI, DEIA, and ‘environmental justice’ offices and positions within sixty days” – Charles Ezell
President Trump, in his characteristic no-nonsense style, has described DEI policies as “shameful discrimination.” He’s absolutely right. These programs have done nothing but create a culture of victimhood and entitlement while completely ignoring the principles of merit and individual achievement that made this country great.
The Great DEI Debate: Marxism vs. Merit
Of course, the usual suspects are up in arms about this decision. Proponents of DEI argue that these policies help reduce discrimination and improve representation. But let’s be real – all they’ve done is replace one form of discrimination with another, all while lining the pockets of diversity consultants and grievance merchants.
“Anti-DEI rhetoric and policy goals are dangerous, destructive, and discriminatory. Ultimately, they erect barriers to our American dreams” – around two dozen Democratic lawmakers
Critics of DEI, myself included, see these policies for what they really are: Marxist identity politics designed to divide us along racial and gender lines. It’s a cynical ploy that has no place in our government or our society. The growing public opposition to DEI, fueled in part by the Supreme Court’s decision against affirmative action in college admissions, shows that Americans are waking up to this destructive ideology.
Corporate America Follows Suit
It’s not just the federal government that’s seeing the light. Several major U.S. corporations, including Caterpillar and McDonald’s, have also started to scale back their DEI initiatives. These companies are realizing that focusing on skin color and gender instead of qualifications and merit is not just wrong – it’s bad for business.
Of course, the Human Rights Campaign is wringing its hands, warning that cutting back on DEI efforts could negatively impact business success and workforce diversity. But here’s a novel idea: how about we focus on hiring the best people for the job, regardless of their immutable characteristics? Crazy, I know.
As President Trump succinctly put it, “That ends today.” It’s about time we put an end to this divisive nonsense and get back to the principles that made America great: hard work, individual merit, and equal opportunity – not equal outcomes. The elimination of DEI roles in federal agencies is a step in the right direction, and it’s high time we extend this common-sense approach to every corner of our society.
