Joe Rogan Clarifies YouTube Search Issue with Donald Trump Podcast Episode and Plans to Host Kamala Harris Joe Rogan addressed rumors surrounding his podcast episode featuring Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, which briefly became unavailable on YouTube searches.
Rogan clarified that the temporary search issues stemmed from an error in the Spotify upload process rather than intentional censorship by YouTube. “There is no issue with YouTube censoring the Trump episode. It was just supposed to go live on both Spotify and YouTube at the same time and there was a glitch in Spotify’s upload system and so we delisted the YouTube link until it’s fixed. It should be fine now,” Rogan stated on social media.
Tried to find the Rogan/Trump interview on YouTube but no matter what I search, it's not coming up. Would be beyond bonkers if they're actively trying to suppress it. Must be a glitch, right? pic.twitter.com/BvpYzZTXWY

Search Difficulties Persist Despite Rogan’s explanation, users continued to experience difficulties finding the full episode on YouTube. This prompted Rogan to take additional steps to ensure accessibility. “Since there’s an issue with searching for this episode on YouTube here is the full podcast with Trump,” Rogan posted, sharing a direct link to the content.
YouTube Acknowledges and Addresses the Issue YouTube acknowledged the search difficulties, explaining that while short excerpts from the Joe Rogan channel appeared in search results, the full episode was not prominently displayed. A YouTube spokesperson stated, “For some searches on Monday the original 3-hour interview didn’t appear prominently. Short excerpts uploaded by the Joe Rogan channel appeared, but we know it was frustrating for users looking to find the full video. We’ve worked to resolve this and viewers will begin seeing the full podcast in more YouTube search results soon.”
Trump Interview Content During the episode, Trump discussed various topics, including regrets from his first term, policy initiatives, and reiterated claims about the 2020 election. The full interview is available for viewing on multiple platforms.
Plans to Host Kamala Harris Rogan also revealed his intent to host Democratic nominee Kamala Harris for a future episode. However, scheduling conflicts have delayed this event. Ian Sams, a spokesperson for Harris, stated, “We talked with Rogan and his team about the podcast. Unfortunately it isn’t going to work out right now because of the scheduling of this … period of the campaign.”
This incident highlights the complexities of digital content distribution and the importance of clear communication between platforms and content creators to prevent misunderstandings and speculation about censorship.
