AOC’s Selective Outrage on Political Violence
The hypocrisy meter just broke again, folks. When Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was recently confronted about whether Democrats’ fiery anti-Elon Musk rhetoric might be fueling the wave of attacks against Tesla vehicles and facilities, she suddenly became the queen of “no comment.” This is the same congresswoman who never misses an opportunity to lecture Republicans about “stochastic terrorism” whenever conservative rhetoric is involved. But now that the targets are Elon Musk and Tesla owners, AOC’s passionate concerns about politically-motivated violence have mysteriously evaporated like her principles.
What’s particularly rich is AOC’s refusal to confirm whether she still owns a Tesla, citing vague “security reasons.” Yet this didn’t stop her from previously lambasting Musk at every opportunity. Remember when she bought a Tesla after criticizing Musk? Apparently, her moral outrage takes a backseat when it comes to luxury electric vehicles for herself. It’s just another installment in the never-ending series “Rules for Thee But Not for Me” starring the progressive left.

Domestic Terrorism Against Tesla Goes Unchallenged
The attacks on Tesla aren’t just random acts of vandalism – they’re coordinated assaults that the Justice Department is treating as domestic terrorism. We’ve seen at least 80 acts of vandalism against Tesla vehicles and 10 incidents of vandalism and arson against Tesla properties in the United States and Canada. Three individuals have already been charged with domestic terrorism for attacking Tesla properties with Molotov cocktails. The situation is serious enough that Attorney General Pam Bondi had to issue a stern warning to these eco-terrorists.
“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended. Let this be a warning: If you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.” – Pam Bondi
Yet despite this escalating violence, Democrats who are typically quick to denounce any hint of right-wing extremism remain conspicuously silent. They’ve spent months painting Musk as public enemy number one for his role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), with some even going so far as to call him a “Nazi” and a “threat to democracy.” But when their inflammatory language potentially inspires actual violence? Crickets. It’s almost as if they believe some forms of political violence are more acceptable than others.
AOC’s History of Inflammatory Rhetoric Against Musk
AOC has been particularly vicious in her attacks on Musk, repeatedly portraying him as some kind of villainous oligarch exploiting taxpayers. Her personal vendetta against the Tesla CEO has included calling him a “leech on the public” and accusing him of targeting “the elderly, the disabled, and orphaned children” to pocket tax cuts. This kind of over-the-top character assassination doesn’t just criticize policy – it demonizes a person and, by extension, everything associated with them, including their companies and customers.
“This guy is a leech on the public. No matter how many billions he gets in tax cuts and government contracts, it will never be enough for him. Now he’s going after the elderly, the disabled, and orphaned children so he can pocket it in tax cuts for himself. It’s disgusting.” – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
The glaring double standard here is impossible to ignore. When AOC feels threatened by Republican rhetoric, she demands accountability and condemns it as incitement. She’s accused former President Trump of using his rallies to foster political intimidation and has expressed concerns about her own safety due to threats allegedly incited by Republican language. But when asked if her own party’s rhetoric might be responsible for actual violence happening right now? Suddenly, she has nothing to say. Apparently, cause and effect only works in one political direction in AOC’s universe.
