Don Lemon Duped! Promotes Conservative Movie!

During the coverage of the Democratic National Convention (DNC), former CNN host Don Lemon inadvertently promoted a website associated with Daily Wire podcast host Matt Walsh’s new film, “Am I Racist?”. This unexpected twist occurred as Lemon reported on the convention, unaware that the website he mentioned was actually linked to Walsh’s latest project.

Matt Walsh, known for his sharp critiques and controversial stances, attended the DNC in disguise as a “DEI consultant.” This role was a direct nod to the undercover character he portrays in “Am I Racist?”. At the event, Walsh and his team distributed flyers and cards that seemed to caution attendees about the supposed dangers of Project2025—a conservative initiative from the Heritage Foundation that some on the Left have associated with former President Donald Trump, despite Trump’s own disavowal of the plan.

However, the twist lay in the details. The website promoted on these materials didn’t lead to information about Project2025 but instead directed visitors to a trailer for Walsh’s film, a link to purchase tickets, and a sign-up page for Daily Wire memberships. It was a clever and calculated move by Walsh, designed to draw attention to his film in an unconventional way.

Despite Walsh openly discussing the prank on social media for an entire day, Don Lemon and his team seemed to miss the memo. They went ahead and posted a video of Lemon promoting the website, which later had to be deleted. The video, astonishingly, concluded with Lemon holding up a card for Project2025.com—the very website that led straight to “Am I Racist?”.

Walsh didn’t miss the opportunity to comment on the blunder. On his podcast, he jokingly referred to Lemon as the film’s “number one spokesman” and expressed disbelief that the CNN team failed to catch the joke, even after it was widely publicized online. Walsh quipped, “Is Lemon in on the joke? Because how else do you explain a supposed journalist airing the footage—a day after I told everyone on [X] what we did.”

Furthering the irony, Walsh pointed out that none of the individuals Lemon interviewed at the DNC could accurately describe Project2025, instead offering vague and generalized criticisms. Walsh’s film, “Am I Racist?”, is scheduled to premiere in theaters nationwide on September 13, with tickets available at amiracist.com. This unexpected promotion by a former CNN host has only added to the film’s buzz, ensuring that it will be a topic of discussion as the release date approaches.
