Harris Team Selling Camo Hats

It wasn’t too long ago that some Trump supporters were upset that the Republican party held a primary.

Many wanted Trump anointed just like Kamala.

For the most part Trump stayed out of it with occasional jabs at those challenging him.

But there’s a reason you do it. Many of the people who were involved in the primary will likely get positions if Trump wins. Not only that some involved in the primary were just getting their feet wet in what it’s like to run in a big campaign.

In other words, you (and your staff) get battle-tested and try to raise your profile.

Take a look at Senator Marco Rubio. I think if it wasn’t for the Florida issue with Trump, he would have been Trump’s VP pick, and if you remember, “Little Marco” got into it with Trump during a tough primary.

This brings up a boneheaded decision the Kamala-Walz campaign made that immediately backfired on them.

They really thought they could ride Walz military service so much that they are selling camo hats.

Yup.

The wacky Emily L. Newman, an art history professor at Texas A&M University, praised the campaign’s move, highlighting how it capitalizes on Walz’s Midwestern sensibility. Walz is a staunch advocate for gun control yet also an avid hunter, a juxtaposition that appeals to a broad demographic.

However, reality set in quickly. Walz military service scandal has exploded and everyone is seeing through it.

Cody Miller, a liberal arborist from Colorado, dismissed the hat as “gimmicky” and felt it was more of a coastal city fashion statement than a genuine piece of hunting gear. Indeed, urban fashionistas have been embracing camo and blue-collar workwear recently. James Harris, co-host of the podcast “Throwing Fits,” humorously noted that urbanites’ complaints about the hat appropriating their style are absurd, given the long-standing use of blaze orange and camo in outdoor wear.

Folks, the Kamala campaign is being swift boated and they should have seen coming a mile away. But they aren’t battle-tested tested and you know they wanted to ride his service hard because when is the last time you saw a Democrat campaign sell camo hats?
