Trump Quote At Fundraiser Under Scrutiny

There has been a lot of debate surrounding Governor Tim Walz’s military service.

The story has been devastating, and it hasn’t gone away, so naturally, the media is at it again.

So NBC released a new report claiming that former President Trump has once again slandered soldiers.

During a campaign event former President Trump was commenting on the moment he gave Miriam Adelson, a philanthropist and GOP donor the Medal of Freedom.

“I watched Sheldon sitting so proud in the White House when we gave Miriam the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Trump said at his New Jersey resort.

What Trump said next is what NBC news claims is “controversial.”

That’s the highest award you can get as a civilian. It’s the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor,” Trump continued, actually referring to the Medal of Honor.

“But civilian version, it’s actually much better because everyone [who] gets the Congressional Medal of Honor, they’re soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they’re dead,” Trump concluded. “She gets it, and she’s a healthy, beautiful woman, and they’re rated equal, but she got the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and she got it for — and that’s through committees and everything else.”

Of course, NBC News only posted this paragraph of Trump’s comments, and even if this is all he said, it’s clear what He is saying.

First off, he didn’t attack soldiers.

What Trump is saying is that most soldiers who earn the Medal Of Honor will never know it because most of them gave their lives.

Oh and if you don’t think this is NBC news running a campaign attack for Kamala. The next paragraph after the quote is discussing how “Trump and his running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, have criticized the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, for his military record and have sought to make reverence for military service an issue in the election. Vance, who is also a veteran, has criticized Walz for opting to retire after more than 20 years in the National Guard but before his unit was set to be deployed to Iraq.”

The Walz story is hitting hard and this is just another desperate attempt by the media, just like the story about Trump joking about dead soldiers in France.

Also note that the story was promoted by Joe Scarborough, who then blocked anyone who could reply to it.
