It appears that the Trump campaign may have Democrats nervous because the Biden campaign threw a hissy fit over a USA Today headline, and Pelosi was dumbstruck.
First up is a report from Mediaite (not exactly a conservative-friendly outlet) who is claiming that USA Today changed a headline of a report about former President Trump.
Former President Trump recently posted a four-minute video explaining his abortion position, leaving it up to the states. Which had been the main goal of pro-life groups since Roe v. Wade went into effect.

“My view is now that we have abortion where everybody wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation, or perhaps both, and whatever they decide must be the law of the land. In this case, the law of the state,” Trump said in a video posted on Truth Social after teasing last week that he would release a statement.
“At the end of the day, this is all about the will of the people,” Trump added. “You must follow your heart or in many cases, your religion or your faith. Do what’s right for your family and do what’s right for yourself.”
Meanwhile, the Biden campaign has been claiming that Trump is going to impose a national abortion ban.
“If they put one on his desk, he said he’d sign it,” Biden claimed during a Chicago fundraiser.
After Trump’s statement went out USA Today published a piece titled, “‘The Will of the People’: Trump opposes national abortion ban; says states should decide.”

The Biden campaign did not like that and during a conference call on Monday slammed the press and called the USA Today headline “particularly egregiously false.”
Mediaite reported what happened next:
About seven hours after it was published, and around two hours after the conference call, the old headline was deleted and replaced with one that reads “Donald Trump says states should decide abortion policy, avoids talk of a national ban” — without noting the change with an editor’s note.
Then there was Pelosi who was dumbstruck.
“So, when, what’s his name, said what he said yesterday, he either is stupid or he thinks the rest of us are stupid,” Pelosi said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program.
“The issue about a woman’s right to choose, it’s a democracy issue. This is about freedom, freedom of women to make their decision, families to make their decisions,” Pelosi added.

Folks, they weren’t expected that and their claim Trump is lying isn’t going to fly. One thing can be said of former President Trump is that he does what he says.
The Democrats have aligned their entire campaign around this issue and Trump just threw them a huge curveball.
