Dem Congresswoman Humiliates Herself After Dumb Rant – Watch

Recenlty, Democrat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee from Texas took some time to speak to students.

While speaking she dove into the topic of lunar science and well…It was something else.

““Sometimes you need to take the opportunity just to come out and see a full moon is that complete rounded circle, which is made up mostly of gases,” she said wondering if that’s the key to living on the moon.

“And that’s why the question, the question is why, or how, could we as humans live on the moon? Are the gases such that we could do that?”

Then things took a turn, the Congressowoman added, “The sun is a mighty powerful heat that is almost impossible to go near the sun,” she stated, a fact that astronomers have come to respect. Yet, it was the moon’s comparative temperance that captured her fascination. “The moon is more manageable,” she assured her audience, promising that in a couple of years, “you’ll see that NASA is going back to the moon.”

So, according to Space.com, the earth’s moon is one of the densest in the solar system.

From Space.com:

The crust of the moon is made up of a rocky surface covered with regolith. As asteroids and meteorites collide with the surface, they blast it into fine pieces that capture imprints (such as Neil Armstrong’s famous footprint) in exceptional detail.

Deep inside of its interior, the moon may have a solid iron core surrounded by a softer, somewhat molten liquid iron outer core. The outer core may extend as far out as 310 miles (500 km). But the small inner core only makes up about 20 percent of the moon, compared to the 50 percent core of other rocky bodies.

Most of the interior of the moon is made up of the lithosphere, which is about 620 miles (1,000 km) thick. As this region melted early in the lunar life, it supplied the magma necessary to create lava plains on the surface. However, over time, the magma cooled and solidified, thus ending volcanism on the moon.

This would be the exact opposite of the congresswoman’s claim.
