The radical activist group Climate Defiance recenlty disrupted and awards ceremony honoring Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).
The video was charged by the group showing protesters being tackled and pushed off the stage by those in attendance, which looked like a football pile-up.
We just shut down a gala honoring U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski. Murkowski is a murderer. She incinerates us to enrich her cronies. As Chevron’s top lobbyist gave her an award, we stepped in and stopped the ceremony. Respect us or expect us,” the group wrote on their X account.
The Bryce Harlow Foundation was awarding Murkowski an award for building her career on “championing the principles of integrity, dedication, and professionalism.”
Honestly, this sounds like an award rich people give each other.
“Known for her ability to work collaboratively and across the aisle to reach common sense solutions, Murkowski is a leader on energy and public lands issues, recognizing that sound national policy will promote job creation and economic growth, and higher standards of living and greater global stability,” the award site wrote.
According to their site, the foundation promotes ethical standards in lobbying and government relations.
The radical climate group has said they are taking drastic action because they feel the government isn’t doing enough to save the planet.
“Murkowski played a lead role in persuading Biden to approve the Willow Project. This monstrosity will transport 200,000 barrels of oil every single day. This is hideous. This is cruel and barbaric beyond description.”
“Murkowski brands herself as a moderate but in truth she is an ecocidal pyromaniac. She fought tooth and nail to open up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to big oil,” the group tweeted in a thread on Thursday. “Is nothing sacred? Is nothing sacred?”
